Shortlisting a manufacturer without regret

Choosing among electrical control panel manufacturers in India can feel overwhelming, especially when quotes differ by a large margin. Price is only one part of the picture. A cheaper panel that fails within two years is never cheaper in the end.

Start by asking what the price includes. Brands of key components, thickness of the sheet metal, type of paint finish and testing should all be spelled out. Two quotes that look alike on the surface may describe very different panels underneath.

Visit the workshop if you can. Look at how wires are laid, whether panels are labelled and whether work areas are organised. A tidy workshop usually produces tidy panels, and you can learn a lot in a few minutes of walking around.

Speak to previous customers where possible. Ask whether the panel arrived on time, whether it worked on first power-up and whether the supplier responded when questions came up later. Honest references tell you more than any certificate on a wall.
