Operator desks designed around the person using them

A control desk is where the operator meets the machine, so it deserves as much thought as the electronics behind it. Buttons should fall under the hand, indicators should be easy to read, and the layout should make sense to someone on their first day. We build our desks with those people in mind.

Behind the sloping front panel, the desk carries the PLC, relays, power supplies and wiring, just like a standard panel. The difference is in the ergonomics. Switches, selector knobs, emergency stops, meters and a touch screen are arranged in logical groups that follow the process flow.

We offer desks in freestanding, tabletop and console styles, depending on the control room. Some customers want a compact desk beside a machine, while others need a large one with room for multiple operators. Dimensions and finish are chosen to match your space.

Key Highlights

Ergonomic layout

Controls grouped according to the process flow.

Multiple styles

Freestanding, tabletop or console desks.

Easy servicing

Access doors and neat cable management inside.

Layout approval

We share a drawing for sign-off before building.

Cable management inside the desk is planned so that servicing does not turn into a puzzle. Access doors, removable panels and clear labelling let technicians reach components without dismantling anything else. It is a small feature that saves hours over the years.

Tell us what the operator needs to see and do, and we will suggest a layout drawing for your approval before starting work. Changes are easiest on paper, so we like to get the arrangement right first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the desk hold a touch screen HMI?

Yes. We cut out and mount the screen along with buttons, selectors, meters and indicators in a layout that suits your operators.

Can you match our control room colours?

We can usually finish the desk in a colour that suits your room. Share your preference and we will confirm what is possible.
